Am 18. Mai 2012 haben sich die Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche (Eglise Evangélique Luthérienne de France – EELF) und die Reformierte Kirche (Eglise Réformée de France – ERF) zur Vereinigten Protestantischen Kirche von Frankreich (Eglise Protestante Unie de France – EPUdF) zusammengeschlossen. Die Union gründet auf dem theologischen lehrmäßigen Einvernehmen der Leuenberger Konkordie. Vom 9.–12. Mai 2013 fand die konstituierende Synode der neuen Kirche statt.

Die protestantischen Kirchen der Französischen Übersee-Territorien sind unabhängig organisiert.
